Kate spent most of the summer in early fall preparing and completing job applications. She flew all across north America, interviewing at five different universities. But as the answers roledin, kate's positive attitude started to falter. The hiring process for an academic job involves much more than just an interview. It can be gruelling. So i'd had a good experience and i was feeling pretty good about my chances.
