Using a Tag in a Repository?

I've been using tags just because it's been easier and then keep the master as kind of like the most updated one. I would look into if I can actually put the tags and see if that changes their base. The main part for me personally is that the code will never be like perfect, if that makes sense. Sometimes it makes a lot more sense to put that code snippet in the samefile as another file or in the same file as that related codeor sometimes you want to do in a separate file. Like what I really advocate for is just learning more things in general - different ways to code the same thing.
