The premillennialist way of looking at the situation is led by profound frustration with things as they are. The majority of fundamentalists take this essentially passive attitude toward the kingdom of God that the kingdom will have to be brought in miraculously and not by their own efforts. However there is a growing movement known as the Christian reconstructionist movement  that group is committed to the goal of taking over first the United States and then the whole world, says David Frum.
