The Importance of Relationship With Others

The religion of the modern age is that God is found within yourself. All of the raw materials necessary for finding ultimate fulfillment will be found within the human ego itself. It is the age of the individual. And as I've shared before individual is a word that actually has very little place in the Christian faith because we are not driven by individualism which is my uniqueness defined apart from others. A person is one whose uniqueness is discovered in their relationship to others. Which is why we are stuck at this bleak standstill and why so many people struggle to be happy. There is something ultimately that leads to a dissatisfaction when self is the central means by which understanding and meaning is drawn from life.
