Derek Hines was the special counsel to Louis free, a famously conservative FBI director. He clerked under judges that were appointed by George W. Bush. Lisa Monaco is a national security official who served as the 39th and current deputy attorney general since April of 21. She graduated from Harvard and has basically been working at the DOJ for most of her adult life.
