The Value of Transparency in the Workplace
Nana: In some respects it feels like rich people problems because most wage earners in this country know what one another is making and they don't have the same constraints or conversations surrounding how they have the power dynamic. Nana says there are a number of resources that don't require the awkward conversation that can help workers get more informed about whether they're making a fair wage. Allison: I think transparency overall does help in the workplace especially if workers have a plan to really fight against the bosses and really work really hard to make sure that they are making better wages and information.
