The Benefits of a One Stop Strategy
It was understandable to use that safety car and make a cheap pit stop in hindsight. But at the time, it didn't seem too unreasonable. It was 15 laps into the race. Most teams still had two pairs of hard tires. Max Verstappen did not go for it like he did last time out in Spain. Why didn't they do that again this time out for maximum point? They put Sergio on the soft tires at the end, last lap. He did get fastest lap - if anyone missed that towards the end.
