The Outliers of Universal Pictures
Universal is a bit of an outlier in that they even through the pandemic and certainly now they release more movies than almost any other studio. They do actually take movies that are deemed flops or under performers in theaters and they eke out profits from them by doing this aggressive windowing. If you really make it 45 days consistently, the argument I've heard from distribution people is that will teach the consumer that they should go back to the movies.
