The Irony of Defensive Trigger Warnings

I can't explain why it is that there are certain serial killers on whom I will happily watch a two-hour sky crime documentary. There are other serial killers who bizarrely cross this line to a point where they're just repellent, you know. And so, in defensive trigger warnings, it is fair to point out that we can be extraordinarily insensitive if we don't suffer from some phobia or some experience ourselves. We can be very insensitive to others. But when it comes to jokes, I said, I can't really legislate between jokes that are disgusting and jokes which are disgusting and funny.
