The first cable cast in 19 forty eight, compressed over the air broadcast signals into wires. This was just a way to get broadcast t v to places where they couldn't pick up t v signals using rabbit ears or roof top antennas. But charles dolan didn't see it that way. See, to him, those wires looked like televisions future. He saw conduits, pipe lines for sending across huge streams of movies and live sports to homes all over the country.
