Plants Have a Soul
In western thought, a fourth century b ce a thinker aristotle wrote that plants have a vegetative soul. Aristotle attributes nourishment and reproduction to the plant soul. The greek notion of a soul is rather different than modern or even early christian notions of a soul. We're not talking about an inner ghost person that moves on and has an after life. This would be more like the concept of a mind, or like or would it be like the idea of an animating breath?
