Sufism and Meditation
In arabic, the word for meditation is mushakida, which relates to the term shahida, meaning declaration of faith. Witnessing can be simply seeing in ourselves a defect of anger in a moment in which were criticised. Witessing can also have to do with being aware of our surroundings as well,. Being very vivid, very clear. Som meditation is about being awake, acquiring data of our experiences. It's a quality that is very dynamic and there are many levels.
