Is Biden a Good Candidate?

Presidential approval historically is the best indicator of a party's performance in an election. And Biden in these exit polls is less popular than Donald Trump was on the night in 2018 when the Democrats picked up 41 House seats. So it's not just a sense that Joe Biden, the Democrats themselves don't seem to have been punished for their stewardship of the country do they? I think it was a lack of a message on the economy other than just complaints that kind of fed into the Republicans disappointing night.
