House of the Dragon Is a Star Wars Movie for Adults

The finale of House of the Dragon last night was used to tease succession, which doesn't come on until spring. Netflix for the most part has figured out that these other services aren't doing yet. I'm skeptical Disney would just accept Taika Waititi's first draft of whatever Star Wars movie he writes. Do you think people care more about who is writing and directing their huge IP projects now than 20 years ago?
