The Scaling of Animals

Most of my early career was in high-energy physics. Particle physics is very questions of fundamental particles and the fundamental laws of nature. But more so, I got me interested in this bigger question: How far can you go? So if you have mammals, there's a certain design, so to speak, that's evolved. And it just isn't viable anymore. When that happens, the whole design changes. In a way, you could view that sequence that you articulated from subatomic particles all the way to societies as a response to changing conditions invoked by the change of scale.
