Muhammad and Malvo's Motive
Bob Greene: Release of information about Muhammad, Malvo and the car was a gamble. He says it could have gone badly if snipers weren't asleep when they were spotted by Whitney Donahue. But in this case, he says, the gamble paid off; both men were caught remarkably quickly. Greene: What was their motive? Maybe Islamic terrorism or maybe anger at ex-wife Mildred. They did ask for $10 million to stop spree killing but that's implausible, he says.
