I'm confused by kind of a pop dispensationalism that grows up around traditional prophecy pundits, where they spend all their time trying to find current events that point to Israel being back to land and rebuild temple. So the reason the reformer saw Rome was the way they were reading the book of Revelation. The reason dispensational see this as some sort of an end times thing with Nicholas Carpathia or whatever else we're on to now these days. And it's just a natural fruit that is a dramatic of seeing the end time center around Israel because any Christ in that grid has to be somehow associated with someone who's going to make a final piece treat with Israel and then betray them.
