The Guild Needs Extra Protections to Regulate AI
The notion that a writer must be a person is already ingrained in copyright law, why does the guild need extra protections? I think the guild is careful because we're always looking for loopholes and it's not even an extra protection. We thought that was the thing that they would look at and be like,Yeah, that's already in the contract. Let's move on to the more harder tasks. And they didn't. The issue of regulating AI has become this type word that means a lot of different things. What we're specifically concerned about for the writer's skill is the large language models and how they generate text and regulating them.
