The Status Report Phone Call - It's Not Connecting
i used to call this the status report phone call. There's no reciprocity in what's going on in his life, either from a status report or emotional standpoint. He wants me to mother him instead of taking responsibility for his emotions. This is the opposite of ownership. When you're feeling even physic distant, you can feel emotionally close when there are these moments of openness.
