Environmental Degradation in the Muslim World

The welfare of animals is strongly emphasized in the tradition with with some hadith material and and legal perspectives. I think there's still some work to be done to bring bring that material into sort of deeper conversation with contemporary and environmental perspectives but even for example the dietary stuff, the sort of hala eating. And then you can have a very sort of ecological bent to it that the way you slaughter your animals and practice that kind of agriculture. It's meant to be a sort of deeply ethical relationship.
