Mister Kishida's Challenges
Kashita is known for being an affable colleague, but bit of a dull personality. He takes over from suga yoshikide, who has been prime minister for all of a year. Suga's handling of the covet 19 pandemic and sort of his perceived lack of leadership brought him down. So kishida's first task is to regain public trust by providing a clear plan on how Japan will emerge from the pandemic. And he also has some work to do to build on policy legacies that suga left behind.
