The AA have to help about 2,500 people a week who've run out of petrol on a motorway because they don't want to buy the petrol there. Even with electricity prices where they are, it's still much cheaper. The only times when they become more expensive is if you are getting all the charge for your vehicle from a motorway rapid charger. No one gets all the fuel for their car by filling up on the motorway because everyone knows how expensive it is. So it's just these really unrealistic scenarios are presented to suggest that the economics around EVs don't make sense. It doesn't look like real life driving papers.
