Tolkien's the Main Task of Philology
Part of the reason for the podcast is to bring it down. Sometimes I have to go back to my dictionary when I listen to podcasts. Good for the brain. Yeah, totally. So maybe we've already broached this and discussed or not. But but in the book, you have this subsection on Tolkien's what Tolkien took to the main task of philology. You know, do you think that we've covered that already? Or maybe we can say it more succinctly, like what did Tolkien take to be the maintask of philology? "I don't want to only put the blame on the shoulders of the academics because I know the work," he says.
