How to Improve Your Writing

I was wondering if you want to improve your writing and why, if so, why, what do you need to write? One thing is writing for an exam, because you need to pass an exam. But really, writing is not just passing exams. Writing is thinking, thinking. There's a lot that you can learn from yourself when you're right. I wanted to know if you like writing and why or why not.
