Mass Crucifixion and the Humiliation Process

The process of a cross or beam being carried by the punished like being paraded through the city? Was that a thing as punishment and humiliation? Yes, that seems to have been part of the whole humiliation process. The condemned person would also have, perhaps attached round their neck, or somebody carrying a titulus, which would have their name and their crime. So it was probably quite a public spectacle a day out. And in a sense, that detachment from the city is also part of the punishment.
