The Gilgamesh Epic in Mesopotamia

The Hittite world copied Gilgamesh but also translated it into the local language. In the first millennium BC, Mesopotamian education was heavily focused on text that were of local or patriotic interest and Gilgamesh wasn't used by students in the school.
