Evolutionary psychology can't give us the what should we do? It just says, well, what are we typically really good at and how we develop these types of things. We all need to make distinctions between our primary purpose, which is something like being transformed in the image of God and loving others, and you know, loving ourselves. If we kind of hitch our whole well-being to one of those secondary purposes, then if we lose our job, or if we get injured ... it's going to hurt.
