Billy Carlton's Story

At age 15, Billy drops out of school and takes the stage name Billy Carlton. She makes some extra cash by modeling for a 37 year old costume designer named Reggie Devole. In 1914 at age 18, Billy lands a spot on the chorus of Irving Berlin's Watcher Step.
