The Importance of Being Vulnerable

I was facilitating a dinner in the Middle East, and it was for a work context. We did a 15-toast with a number of people who were coming in to workshop a specific idea. One senior government leader shared this very beautiful story about how he had told his sisters that he was kind of ready to meet somebody. He showed us a part of himself that he would never otherwise show in that context. It diminished the hierarchy in the room. The next day, when we're brainstorming ideas, I believe good ideas can come from anywhere.
