The New Type of Black Hole

This is all a part of the Gaia orbital telescope, which is a European space agency mission. It's trying to three dimensionally map the galaxy. And within that data dump there were information on a bunch of different binary systems. These are two systems in which the star that's visible is clearly orbiting another object because it's wobbling. They looked at where it should be based upon the gravitational influence and there's nothing there. So they're also not only a new type of black hole, but probably the most common type as well.
