The Cultural Deficit Lens in Traditional Educational Studies
In Revelation 21, John says that the glory and honor of the nations will be brought in. There's a parallel to that in CRT - community cultural wealth. In traditional educational studies, students of color were viewed through a 'cultural deficit lens' And so many coming to the church in the US, we're forced to leave our God given community cultural wealth outside the door.
