i now want to go back into the mainstream with american girl dolls. There are people who just participate in the living doll subculture. The whole doll thing is less about having a caricature and having like a fun time and more because you're striving for this idea of bodily perfection that is unhealthy. i think greta gerwig's barbie has simultaneously pulled in people who have been staunchly like anti-doll and those who feel like this movie is going to be actually very cynical and satirical about the entire doll industry.
