Metas' New Threads App Launches

Metas' new Threads app is officially available for download on iOS and Android. The app was created by Instagram's team and Metas says it's for quote, sharing text updates and joining public conversations. It aims to tap into the massive reach of Instagram, which has 2 billion users. Meta shares today gained about 3%, bringing its year to date gains up 144% and hitting levels not seen since February 2022.
