What About a World With Damage and Decay but No Deprivation?
So what about a world with damage and decay, but no deprivation? Ye, i mean, that kind of world seems to me like less obviously bad than the other ones we've just been talking about. I think the reason i think this world would still be not a very good world is that if there's no deprivation, that means that there are no goods outside of ourselves we need. That's going to be a world where, sort if human beings can live as these sort of islands, isolated off from one another. And that sounds just just awful to me.
