Tyler Hoffman: When we think of human, I damn hemodynamically unstable patients, people always want to say, well, ketamine is the hemodynamically friendly induction agent. But just like you were alluding to, sometimes these patients only have a blood pressure because they're sympathetically driven from their discomfort or pain. So then comes the discussion of, well, we know that we're going to paralyze this patient. We know that they can't vomit and we have to make their muscles appropriately able to accept a blade and an ET tube. Now is the discussion. Maybe we need to consider a lower dose of our sedative.
