Is There a Legal System?

In the imagined future society, e's basically no government. Any one can sort of free lance as a judge, and both parties pay that person to render a verdict. And if they don't like the verdict, then they settle it with a knife fight duel. The kind of person who does cause too much trouble just doesn't survive very long in the society.
