If you're spending a lot of time squeezing high resistance grippers, then you are pretty much wasting your time when it comes to effective training for climbing. Blood flow restriction straps may have some value as kind of a curveball to your system because it does give a novel stimulus. It's major use is in rehab in the case of injured knee or even a climbing injury in your upper body.
