Is There a Mind That Doesn't Have Free Will?
Free will is such a central aspect of what our minds experienced. Can we imagine a mind that doesn't have free will? We are just these machines being pushed around by atoms and being dictated to by the conditions of the big bang, in everything unfolded in that. To my mind, it comes down to this idea of causation. Where is causation in the world? It is very hard to see how free will fits into that. But eare very good reasons, not just hand waving reasons, but atly technical reasons.
