Joseph Smith and the Saints in Nauvoo

Joseph Smith loved to teach gospel principles and expound the scriptures. Some former church members in Nauvoo who were already disaffected from the Prophet struggled with those teachings. The anti-Mormon party in Illinois was as determined as ever to drive Joseph Smith and the Saints from the state, even if that required the use of violence.
