CHAPTER

Why Is Rational Choice Important?

When used with certain kinds of game theory, it lays out a way of thinking about the world that tells you that this is likely to happen and gives you reasons why things might not have happened. It also gave me a way to think about, okay, if this thing happened in the world, then the outcome shouldn't have been x. And yet the outcome in this historical event or this particular place was y. Its limits are already obvious in what I've said, that its assumptions are relatively unrealistic and it's individualistic as opposed to thinking about networks or interactions.
