The Negative Overhead of Observability Tools
I've heard a lot of single digit percent. But in general, we can claim quite reliably that it should be below 50%. And I personally would pay up to 10%. There's good discussion about overhead from observability tools recently raised by Jeremy Schneider mentioning Oracle experts and Tom Kate,. It's interesting points. So if you analyze whole picture, having this tool is beneficial and you can improve your performance using it - especially if you do it routinely.
