The Role of Relative Markers in Morphology

A lot of morphological focus markers are related to relative markers. So your relativizer becomes a focus marker because people are doing this weird thing with it. With some reanalysis of this bi-clausal cleft construction as monocleusal actually, then suddenly you have sentence level marking on your verb that's derived from a relativizer or something.
