The Paradox of Shaming

In the book, The Spirit Level, they go over all the things that make a society deteriorate or generate. And one of them is that level of financial and the struggle to just survive with that being the greatest good. I see that very clearly in my late mother-in-law who was a Holocaust survivorwho kept that Holocaust going. She learned survival was her only interest, which I think a lot of people in the United States are desperate to just survive. Right.And the long way is a weakness that can't be tolerated. And so they don't. That's a very dangerous thing in a society.
