The units that get to the coast first are the Panza units, and they broadly follow the line of the river Somme to the south. When you talk about loss of momentum, though, they push through the Ardennes. This is the classic Blitzkrieg campaign. As those troops are closing in on the coast, how problematic had been that rapid campaign for the units that were spearheading it?
