Tomoa Calcidija, a journalist who had to flee Venezuela, is now a Spanish-language fact-checker. She says some of the disinformation is targeted at immigrants from specific countries. Maria Carina Vegas' phone is filled with disinformation from her friends and relatives including QAnon-type lies about pedophilia and the Democratic Party.
