World chess champion Magnus Carlsen openly accuses fellow player 19-year-old Hans Neiman of cheating. At a prestigious tournament in early September, Neiman beat Carlsen. That ended a 53 match on Beaten streak in classical chess for Carlsen. Even more fascinating than what happened in the game was what happened shortly afterward when Carlsen resigned from the tournament abruptly.
The chess world is in chaos after its top player accused 19-year-old Hans Niemann of using AI to cheat. Niemann is responding with a $100 million lawsuit against his accuser and the chess website that says he likely cheated in scores of games.
