How to Maximize the Freedom of Problem Solving
Theory of a free society: How can we maximize the amount of liberty that each individual has? And her answer here is, well, we have to maximize the ability for people to engage in this novel, thoughtful, non methodological thinking. But there's a problem. We have all these external constraints. As soon as you come up with something novel like this, then it becomes method. Then when you start to apply it, well, now you got to go find something new because that application is itself doesn't involve the same kind of thinking. In fact, Methodological application without thinking is oppressive, it can be oppressive.
