The Importance of Random Number Generators

In the 80s, on my Apple IIE or something, I made a script to generate random numbers for something and just let it run. And then I noticed after a while, the numbers completely start repeating. They call them back then pseudo random number generators because they're kind of random. So if you do it right, they've proven to be as close to truly random as we may ever be able to get.
