UNIX - What's the Difference?
Nix is a new version of the UNIX operating system developed by Bell Labs. It's based on BSD, but there are notable differences between it and other versions. The visual editor Vi is actually just the visual mode of Joy's X editor. Nix will be released in two flavors: KERNEL1 and KERNEL2.
