The Importance of Happiness in Politics
All the indicators are we're more likely than not to be in recession by the time the presidential election rolls around. And you see a certain amount of floundering right now as a result of the, I don't know what else to call it, the idiotic trade policies that come out of this White House. So I think that we're probably in this House of Cards kind of problem where there's all kinds of things coming home to roost roughly simultaneous with the election. Now, politicians have a remarkable ability to forestall the inevitable. But in the end, the American people will suffer the same fate.
